air schools
Hi all
Does anyone know of any good flight scholls in the Berkshire area or a bit further. Any information, good or bad on the air schools would be greatfully appreciated!
Thanks
Q
P.S I intend to do my PPL at that air school - which will hopefully lead on to a career in aviation as a commercial pilot.

Berkshire is a long, thin county; surely it depends on where you are. If you're at the east end, then there's White Waltham, Booker (strictly Bucks). If you're at the west end, then there's Thruxton and Oxford. If you're in the middle, try Blackbushe.
It really is best for you to check out the schools yourself; what one person might see as a strength in a particular flying school, someone else might see as a weakness. Only you know what you want to get out of it.
Cheers

You could do worse than look at British Airways Flying Club at Booker (Wycombe Air Park). Many instructors are ex-airline, although the club does not train for the commercial licence. Very professional and pleasant people at one of the GAs busiest airfields.
