Help With GPS
Just after a quick bit of advise from anyone who may have used a Garmin 96. How do you find it? Too bulky? unnecessary features? Great bit of kit? Better than the pilot III? Is there a better one on the market for around £300?
I aim to buy one for around £300 to use as a backup, but want to ensre I make an informed decision. So along with internet reserch I put it out to PPRUNERS'
Cheers.

Before trading up I had the Garmin III Pilot which ive got to say is a great starter gps.
I can't help with the 96 , but you should get a decent Garmin III with yoke mount and PC Interface secondhand for £200 ish & like i say they are good value, small screen but you get used to it.
Good luck with whatever you get !!
But don't forget to keep drawing lines on maps !
