Glass cockpit experience ne1?
Expecting delivery of a new plane soon which has a glass cockpit in it...
anyone who has some experience flying IFR with the new glass cockpit did you find it v. hard to get used to or hard or a smooth transition. I have absolutely no expereince of flying with a G ckpt. but just wondered what other people found.
thanks, TD

It does take a little bit of getting used to. Make sure you have a good grasp of at least the basic functions before you jump in and have a play (on the ground obviously!)
If you can get someone to show you how to use it properly, they will make life a lot easier and the transition faster.
To be honest, once you've gotten used to glass, it is difficult to go back to steam! You get used to having all the extra features and the god's eye view makes positional awareness simplicity itself.
Which a/c are you getting? Cirrus or Diamond?
