I doubt this site is blocked and it has the advantage of giving you the closest TAF and METAR to pretty much anywhere on the planet:

Have a word with your network administrator or teacher, as I can see no reason as to why the Metoffice site should be blocked. It can be educational, for example when learning about the weather in geography.

Fly safe,

Personally I've always found the most accurate weather to be something called 'looking out of the window at the flying club'...

But that's just me

Why not just phone the school and ask if you are still on. Oh no, probably too simple and wouldn't involve you advertising to everyone on here

I've often found the Met Office .Org site blocked by corporate IT and labelled as 'you have tried to access a pornography site. Your manager will be informed' .....

(or is it just that I work for a French company that dislikes English weather ???? .....)

My kids couldn't for a while until I fixed it access the BBC's website - possibly the second best website on the planet (after NASA's) for homework, because our PC's "nanny" software had decided that it had adult content. Go figure!

Redeye - we all dislike the English weather, not just the French.

N.B. EKKL and Speedtape, I may not necessarily agree with what you say, but would defend to the death your right to say it. Not necessarily my death, but you get the idea.

CaptainK, I find the SMS service provided by DSC pretty good. The number's on their website. PM if you can't find it.
