Talking Turweston V.A.C events victory

Hi All
Just a quick post to let you know some good news for a change
The airfield has been told today (14/04/2005) that its appeal against the local council’s decision to stop the Vintage aircraft club fly-ins has been overturned and the events for this year can now go ahead.
Unfortunately ‘the Daffodil Fly-in’ had already been re-scheduled to take place at White Waltham on the 23/04/05
However this Saturday’s event at Turweston is now allowed to take place and we would like to invite people to come in and exercise your right to just ‘fly-in’!!
Regards Max

Excellent news. A triumph of common sense over prejudice. I am sure the many personal letters to the local district council helped a lot.
Cheers,

Fantastic news Max

Shame we won't be there for the 23rd but there's always September.
Can't make this weekend either sadly as the folks are over here with me in Norfolk otherwise I'd've made the trip over.
All the very best and despite now living over here and working with jets I've still been following it all.

Great news indeed! I'm glad my little bit of letter writing might have helped to sway things. I certainly got enough stuff through from the council.

Let's hope sense also prevails in the future.
