AerBabe invaded

AerBabe was overcome today by a Lusciousness of Luscombes.

One person wanted to bring his friend so he wouldn't get lost en-route

And we did have one interloper trying to join in but we soon spotted he wasn't a Luscombe!

Didn't get to spot AerBabe's new Hi-viz car though.

It's a fetching shade of orange. It even starts when hot, as we were given a demonstration of the throaty engine note.

The Luscombes were nice too, and seemed to cope very well with the inevitable crosswind.

All in all I thought it was an excellent day and a big thanks to Cyril for organising it.

I was lucky enough to see the high viz car and very nice it is too. Aerbabe was topless when she showed me it and luckily it didn't rain or the top would have had to go back on

Once again, some great pictures Mike. I really must get myself a decent camera...

P.S Why are Yak pilots like they are?..........

Nice to see you two in today. We did think the crosswind might put a few people off, but we had I think 12 Luscombes on the line at one point. I didn't realise it was Cyril's event - well done!

Didn't get to spot AerBabe's new Hi-viz car though
It's in your photo, Mike! Off the right wing of the JP, between the green car and the smaller white van. It's just too small to be seen.

Monocock - What happened with a Yak pilot?

Looks somewhat like a Ford Ka to me

We've had Luscombes at our strip and they look fun if somewhat cramped. Seemingly a cheaper type to own though. Maybe one day I'll get to have a go!

Aerbabe - the Pitts boys were out today playing at Andrewsfield. We'd have popped down to your school had we known it was "play-time".

New car? Guess that means that my old TreVoR is safe then!

That rather depends on your choice of companion surely?

Yak pilots are all so polite and courteous and always show such responsible airmanship.

That's all I meant.
