Hi. There is a place at Shoreham airport that do repairs, great reputation too. Look at the airport website and look at the list of people who are there. Can't remember the name offhand.

Try these chaps. Very good advice all around.

If your set is a DC and you haven't been wreckless with it DC often repair it for free.

Consider sending it back to DC for the work. I did it with a headset a number of years ago. I sent it in, it was worked on, but a clerical error sent it back to another address. After a few weeks I called them, the screw up was figured out. DC overnighted a pair for me to use, and sent me a brand new upgraded headset as compensation. They called every day wanting to know if I had received my new pair. Also received a signed apology from some big wig, on his personal paper.
Yeah, I know kinda long winded, but you can trust the factory guys, BTW the original cost to rehab the headset was minimal.

I sent my DC 10-40 from Oz to the factory in '93 or '94 to repair a failed mike (I had a temp. unbranded one on it), speaker & plugs + the stirrup rivets had broken & I'd replaced them with bolts. It came back refurbished with a new headband & pad, all new leads, new mike & a new speaker. I specified not to have a volume control or that would have been added as well. At my request they even returned the old parts so now I have various spare parts too.
