Lightbulb Announcement: Yak 52 training

I'm starting a Yak52 conversion in Jan at North Weald. Because all instructors I have contacted so far (Gennady Elfimov and Ian Austin) are based elsewhere they insist on full day courses but at the same time advise that may be too much for one person to cope with (I'll take their word for it!).

So if you are interested in conversion or recurrence training let me know and I'll organise a few days of training.

Welcome to the Weald then. A few PPRuNers hang around the bar on a Wednesday evening, so come & introduce yourself.

Mak,

I would recommend very very strongly you fly with Genna. If you need someone to split a day with then I am sure it can be done. If I am off I will share the day with you.

It is worth delaying the 52 conversion to achieve this. The knowledge gained from Genna in the SAFE operation of the 52 will be worth the wait.

I have no commercial interest with Skytrace, just one of its students.

Regards

Hi, I have been asked by someone here on Vancouver Island to give them some training in a Yak 52, as well they want me to do a pre purchase inspection on the airplane.

Can anyone here give me some pointers on what to look for when inspecting a Yak 52?

I will be getting a check out from the former owner and by the time I get it moved from California to Vancouver Island I should be able to out think the thing.

AerBabe, can you get me Angies contact e-mail I seem to have lost it.

Chuck

Yup, leave it with me. It might take a few days though... is it urgent?

No its not urgent, there is a woman here in my home town that has just finished her PPL and is in the process of buying a Yak 52 W and I just thought that it would be nice for her to talk to Angie about Yaks.....

Thanks .
