Cheap Twin....

Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm looking for a place to do a cheap twin rating..... if there is such a thing!

The cheapest I can find is £1600 including all the flight test fees etc.

Another idea was if I could find a cheapish twin to hire and I could provide an instructor??

Any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!!

Sadly Mr Squawk, "cheap" and "twin" go together in a sentence about as frequently as the words "woman" and "reasonable".

I wish you the best of luck in your quest.

Monocock beat me to it, nos such thing as cheap and a twin.

As a thought, if you are scrimping on actually gaining the rating how are you planning on keeping it current???

I fly around 100hrs year in a twin and that probably keeps me on the edge of competant.

Peterborough Conington, offer a fairly cheap twin rating with an outstanding Instructor - Grahame Tough.

Did mine there and so good was the standard of Instruction we had to make up things to do in the last hour to meet minimums.

Not sure what your point is MLS? I was merely reflecting on the fact that the instruction was so good I learnt very quickly. Highlighting a vedry talented instructor rather than a lack of modesty?

Most of my friends went through on minimums as well so it highlights a trend.

So keep your personal attacks to yourself eh!
