DubTrub and Mike Cross..... my aeroplane was 60 this year, more than twice my age! Does that mean I am getting old before my time?

According to the CAA records, there are only 6 female PPL's of my age, so that tells you very little.

Oh yes it does!

You must be very bright to be one of 6 only females to hold a PPL at age seventeen

Memories

Old enough to remember what it was like to fly when a twin hired out at $25/hr, fuel was very cheap, HF Comms were DSB, VARs were just starting to become popular, most aircraft didn't have ADFs, VA/ORs, DMEs or GPS and you were number 12 waiting in line to take off on Saturday morning at most of Australia's secondary airports.
