If they insist on all members of a syndicate operating a PFA Permit aircraft being members of the PFA. It's another thread which you may not have been following and it may even be on the PFA Bulletin Board.

I joined PFA quite a few years ago because I thought I should support such a body on principle (I don't fly a PFA-type aircraft).

About a year ago, I got a letter from a departing senior person to tell me that something is rotten in the state of PFA. Soon after that, I heard that senior PFA engineering folks had been fired and worse (but not why). That worried me - do I want to be a member of an organisation that treats people like that and doesn't explain itself?

Recently I was told of a rumour that if I fly a PFA aircraft as a "co-owner" I will in future be obliged to be a member of PFA, whether I want to or not. Postings on here indicated that it's true.

Then I saw the charges for going to the PFA Rally.

Last month I cancelled my standing order. I did so very sadly, but enough's enough. The same principle that led me to join, led me to leave.
