Bravery award?

Several people pulled the pilot out of the 172 on Lundy just before it completely burst into flames. He wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them, as he was unconscious.

Worth a commendation of some kind?

Two obvious places to make a nomination, the CAA safety awards, and the British Humane Society.

Alternatively, if you think that a gallantry award is justified then nominate the chaps yourself. The place to go for information and the necessary forms is http://www.cabinet-office.gov.uk/cer...nomination.htm
