These always fascinate me. I wonder what happened to make the change necessary.
Sahfen' was 128.95 App, 119.70 Twr when I were a lad. Now it's 130.77 and 127.72 if I remember right. No idea why it needed to change.
Or is there some sneaky psychological battle going on to confuse us oldies?

Another change to the Lars frequency whist I'm in Florida - happened last year!!!
Last time our ATIS Frequency changed was because the previous ATIS frequency was given to Bournemouth Approach... so is this the case again? Another field gaining an approach frequency?
Just wait until the new Servernside CTA is implemented. This is actually good news if approved and implemented for us as the Airways will be Class D instead of Class A around Cardiff, the other bases will be quite high and the controllers are all fantastic at Cardiff and will allow GA a/c into the airspace unlike other places we can mention.
Best wishes,
Charlie Zulu.

Mariner9 I think Filton would have something to say if I gave you a RIS all the way to kemble
Cheers Charlie Zulu we try our best and yes the Severn Control Area will mean a large block of Class D airspace but it isn't to surface level so still loads of Class G don't worry

Well I fly from both Cardiff and Filton, and ATC at both is superb.
But competition between ATC's would be healthy in my view:
Cardiff: "G-XXXX, offer FIS"
Filton: "G-XXXX, raise that to a RIS"
Cardiff: "G-XXXX, raise that to a RAS"
Filton: "G-XXXX, raise that to Royal Flight status"

Flower dearest
Because a) we're nearer and b) they keep on sticking them out straight across the nose of my RADNO deps and anything else I've got northbound towards Brum / Shawbury direction!
(It gets quite amusing trying to avoid and co-ordinate against the 36** squawk which Cardiff can't actually see as it's outside your cover
