Incident in LPL early this morning?
Just heard on the local Scouse radio that an aircraft had landed in LPL during the early hours without its undercarriage or it collapsed on landing (something like that) from what i heard it closed the airport for 3 hours. Anyone any news on this!

A pilot escaped injury today when his plane crash-landed on to a runway.
The single-engine light aircraft came down at Liverpool John Lennon Airport shortly before 2am.
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said they were called to a report that a plane’s undercarriage had failed to lower.
She said: “The aircraft crash-landed on the runway but the pilot, who was the sole occupant, was uninjured.”
Airport spokesman Robin Tudor said: “The airport was closed for three hours following the incident but fortunately it only affected one incoming easyJet flight from Palma, which was delayed.
“The airport was reopened just after 5am and it is now business as usual.”
