Blocked Pitot
On my last flight, I had a blocked pitot resulted in the ASI stopping at Vr (of all speeds). I somehow managed to land the a/c by flying rpm and attitudes in relation to the horizon (ona clear but bumpy day). It turns out some insect was nesting inside the pitot tube (so that's what an ASI bug is ).
What to you do during your preflight to ensure that the pitot (and static vent) is blocked, apart from just looking (which i did)? The preflight checklist discourage blowing into the pitot tube.
