The Flyer awards are going to be handed out on Saturday at noon so that may make gathering there a bit less easy.
FD, that assumes we are not going to see Ian Fallon get his gong for NotamPlot -- I would have thought that time and location made it a good place to meet

R,

I thought that a man of your standing could be in 2 places at once!

Darn, another dream shattered!

Others suggested the time, I just thought it would be difficult to find each other when the Flyer awards are being handed out.

Of course will I go and see Ian get the award.

Okay... so how about initially at the Flyer tepee at 12 noon and the Squadron at 1300? I'm not sure how late I'll be staying as I've got to go estate agent hunting after.

AB,

An excellent idea!

Would take a woman to sort out these blokes, wouldn't it!

I think it's a little unlikely that you'd 'bump' into PPRuNers at these events, unless you knew them already & could spot them at a distance. Some of them you can easily spot at a distance, but we won't go there........

I think I can be let out for one of the meets but probably not both. I'll try and make the Flyer tent at 1200.

I shall be on the Pi**t stand on all three days but will slope off to see Ian get his gong.

I will be around from about mid day Fri through Sat and Sun working with one of the mags. If 'allowed out' and to visit the competition will try and get to the temporary Seager towers at mid day.

Yes Wide, and you need an ATC slot (NW Radio is promoted to NW Tower, with special joining procedures for the duration of the show. There is an AIC about it somewhere.)

Might you be at WW on Friday PM?

Edit: Otherwise, if you want to fly in and can get a slot, can I please come with? The Cap 10 is busy frightening the punters this weekend.

If you are planning to fly in, then the AIC and full details are on the Aerofair website.

Is there a Squadron marquee? or does it not have a name?

Had some friends arrived today but did not see one.

Weather looks good for tomorrow anyway.

I'll be there too on Saturday. I have never been to any PPRUNE bashes (I was living abroad), I therefore don't know any of you but would like to. Should we all carry a copy of the Times and wear a bowler Hat?!

Hmm... my t-shirt is a common aid to identification, but I decided it would be prudent NOT to wear it on this occasion, in case networking opportunities arise. Just ask the rowdy lot if they PPRuNe. The answer is likely to be 'yes'.

The Squadron marquee is at the far end of the display line on the left, next to the main runway. Thee is a BBQ outside. If you go past the tailwheel Yak 52 and look to your left you should see it.

The Flyer stand is at the other end of the line just next to the main exhibition tent.

Hope to see some of you there.
