Ginger Bedggood

I heard the sad news that Ginger passed away on Saturday.

I was fortunate to meet up with Ginger when I relearned to fly at Denham in 1966, having been at Denham previously in 1956.

We have had many memorable flights together since the start of my IMC training back in1968, including two single engine flights to Teneriffe, and Ginger could not swim.

It was after engine problems on the last return leg that I decided that a twin rating was in order, and it was to Ginger that I turned to lick my twin handling into shape.

Anyone who has met Ginger knows he lived life to the full, and he spent the last years overlooking Shoreham airport from the house he shared with Valerie. He never lost his love for little airplanes.
