Blackpool Airport GA friendly?
Hello,
Just thinking about going to Blackpool on a PA28 in a not too distant future.... Any comments or anything I need to know? Is the airport GA friendly?

Been there a few times for meetings in Preston. Relaxed not very busy airport and GA seems to be reasonably welcome (in a laid back way). Landing fees and fuelling seems to be the responsibility of the rescue services team.
Expect to get routings to keep you clear of BAE Warton nearby. Regular fast jet traffic doing circuits much of the time.
If your attention to detail isnt good they can get a bit upset so make sure you study the half mil or quarter mil for the area closely before setting out.
