Coventry : Skypartners : ATC

Yesterday, I had occasion to fly in to collect an old friend of the family to bring him back to Yorkshire for a pre-Easter visit.

It was his first flight in a light aircraft, and he is unused to GA operations. I was impressed that his dealings with Skypartners and with airport security were so straightforward, helpful, and friendly that he was moved to mention it to me.

For my part, ATC were, as ever, very helpful both on arrival and departure.

Although a fee of around £19 is not entirely cheap, I wish more destinations had the pro-GA attitude displayed by all at Coventry concerned in my visit yesterday. They have my thanks, and those of my passenger.

Coventry, for all those who were not able to benefit from the fly-in last Saturday, and for those who have not yet had occasion to visit, is well worth the effort.
