Grumman AA5 - Good or Bad first AC

Hi all,

After completing a search, already, in order to not incur the wrath of some posters.

I am a low hours ppl, based in newcastle, but also have some experience in air cadets vigilant motor gliders, and I am looking to buy a share in an aircraft so i dont have to continue to pay £100/hr to fly.

I completed my ppl in a PA28 warrior, and a cap 10b from sherburn, but having recently moved house, sherburn is now a little further away than i would like to drive.

A share in an AA5 has recently become available at teesside, and I am thinking about buying it. Does anyone have any experience of these aircraft, good/bad/indifferent?

the ac in question can be seen here
