I'm pretty sure that Skegness Aerodrome bit the dust some time ago, and was built upon by the local authority, something to do with a leisure facility I think (although we do have it marked on our radar map as a reporting point for handovers etc. , it's also one of the few visual reporting points you can report flying over, and still be doing so 5 minutes later, because of all the caravans ).
Thereafter someone did reopen a grass strip, calling it Skegness, but I don't no where it was or if it still exists today, as you say, there seems to be nothing listed in the flight guides.

Skegness is now a 2 runway strip. Reasonable length on 04/22 but a bit short on 11/29.
To find it look for the tent like buildings of Butlins hol camp. If approaching from over the sea its just on the right of them. Pub lunch in easy walking distance. Not a lot to recomend the area generally.

Google search for "skegness airfield" brings up a few relevant pages:

Multimap shows the location. Overlaying an arial photograph over the OS map shows clearly that the runways have been moved.

The UKGA entry for Skegness gives a contact phone number that may be useful?

Flew into Skegness a few months ago. Nice long(ish) flat grass strip, quite easy to spot from the air. As EEJay says, not the best of locations - the pub is a 10 minute walk and is one of these family-fun-play-pub places, right in the middle of a caravan park. There is a decent chip shop about 10 minutes further towards the sea.

Was still an interesting place to fly into though - tents pitched virtually right up to the threshold at the north end of the runway and everybody comes out to watch the aircraft movements. Don't think it gets very busy - there were just two microlight movements in the 2 hours I was there. Fuel is available although that seems to depend if they can get the truck started or not. Oh, and the taxiway from runway to parking area is open land with kiddies on bikes riding around and following the aircraft so care is needed.

One thing I'd be wary of is the departure from 04 Directly after the upwind threshold there are about 2,000,000 caravans for as far as the eye can see with no option for a forced landing. Also about 3/4 mile out is a rather large looking roller-coaster thingie right on the centerline. I opted for an early left turn over open countryside.

Still there and still as friendly as ever. We visit on a regular basis and have always recieved a warm welcome. Great for a night stop over pitching the tent under the wing and heading for the pup!

Give it a visit!

The "old" skeggie was indeed built upon. The "new" one is owned by the Waterpark folks, nice two runways, suitable for twins; maintenance facility.

Used to be friendly, not been there for a while, but on telephone enquiries about a potential fly-in/camp-out, seemed less friendly.

But within walking distance of the beach.

Planned on going there as part of my Dawn to Dusk flight last year. Turned out that they'd closed the airfield that day to do some essential maintenance on the runways, so we never made it... but they always seemed very friendly throughout the several phone-calls I made.

It is owned by the waterpark, as others have said, and one of the runways is, I believe, parallel to a lake which is used for water-skiing, which could be interesting!

Skeggy

Visited twice last year......friendly and helpful.......quite a fair old walk to beach area though. Easy to spot....look out for Butlins camp. Definitely worth a trip.

IIRC the old one was just a grass field with no runways as such - no problems with crosswinds!
