Airfield codes

I think Working Hard's point when starting this thread was why people use codes in their posts, not in flight plans, logbooks, etc.

Unless it's my local field (EGLG - that'll be west of London then ) I haven't a clue where people are talking about.

It's very difficult when people use ICAO codes in postings like that.
