Pilot lands on VT Highway

SUNDERLAND, Vt. -- A Dix Hills pilot made an emergency landing along a Vermont highway yesterday morning, swooping down over one motorist before landing in front of an overpass - and then coasting under it.

The pilot, Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, 52, of Dix Hills, and three passengers from Long Island were unharmed after the plane's engine failed.

Epstein, a neurosurgeon, Brad Litwak, an anesthesiologist and two other friends were headed to Rutland airport for a day of skiing when the 1997 Beechcraft Bonanza's engine gave out, said Sgt. Mike Marvin of Vermont State Police.

From: I have no idea but the view's great.
You don't have to be a brain surgeon to be able to land on a highway.

(Interestingly enough the story states that Dr. Epstein is a neurosurgeon and then later he's a heart surgeon, does the journo need a dictionary or is he just a right smart alec?)
