Flight Perf and planning exam?

Hi

Iv just noticed that there is a flight performance and planning section in my confuser and also in the aeroplane technical book ( Trev Thom).
Is this something that is included as an extra section in the actual aeroplane technical exam?
Or is it something which is not tested on?
I just havent heard of this being an exam before.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Aerofoil,

If memory serves it's an exam in it's own right. Here are the total exams that you need to take:

Aviation Law
Navigation and Radio Aids
Meteorology
Aircraft General and Principles of Flight
Human Performance and Limitations
Flight Performance and Planning
Communications (written)
Communications (practical)

Cheers,

G

When you do take the exam, read the notes on the various performance tables very carefully indeed. If ever there was an exam which you can fail because, even though you have the knowledge you didn't read the questions carfully enough, this is it!
