Video ads on PPRUNE.

I have been away from this board for some time but logged on today because of the Air India incident.
When I scroll down a thread, a video pops up in the middle of the screen. Very distracting and is putting this user off using the site. It happens on all threads.
It's very annoying. Is there some way to disable it?

Unfortunately, video ads pay a lot more and enable us to keep the site free

I’m also getting a lot of inappropriate ads promoting to see celebrities in various states of undress. Have reported but no response.
