I just use a different browser ( for my W10 laptop) . Not visible with Firefox, but visible with Edge and Brave
I don't have a Facebook account so nothing to do with that platform

The images are hosted on fbcdn.net
from https://www.systemtek.co.uk/2019/06/...-net-resolved/
"The domain fbcdn.net was registered in 2007 and is owned by Facebook, it is used as a domain for serving static content such as videos and photos from a CDN (content delivery network)"
I can see them the using Brave and am not logged in to facebook.

No, that can't be the case, as I see (AFAIK) all of this content and am not a Facebook user. I suspect that it's a specific combination of cookie/content blocking that is preventing stuff like this from showing up for some users.

If the blocking is stopping me seeing a post it will probably be for a good reason,
and TBH I'd rather miss the post than fiddle with the blocking and then reset it afterwards. Life's too short.

There is a lot of content online these days that is in some ways linked to advertising/monetisation/whatevertheycomeupwithnext and I'm sure different content blockers deal with this in differing ways. The forum is obviously set up to work with advertising content so that the monthly bills can get paid. Integrating items from Twitter/X, Youtube, Instagram and such can be convenient but it adds to the total cookie load as these sites leave their traces on your system too (or try to). If your setup works for you, leave it alone would be my advice. If anyone feels left out of the conversation with regards to the images and such that started this, we can discuss that here.
For comparison's sake: I'm on a MacBook running Firefox 123.0.1 with just the one add-on.
