I wonder if supply and demand (in the pilot labour context) matters to Qantas who has almost an effective monopoly.

if there are not enough pilots there are less flights which means they charge...

To me that’s exactly what’s happening.

QF management are using lower paid pilots (employed by their wholly owned subsidiary, Network Aviation) to fly QF owned aircraft on QF contracts.

Is 15% an unusual number? ATC delays into Perth are crazy at the moment...
