UK airspace closure, 2011 Feb 15
I'm sat in the BA lounge at MAN and quit4e surprised to finde no reference anywhere I can see on here to the apparent closure of UK airspace this morning.
If anyone out there is interested, a Delta 767 ledt MAN at 13:00, shortly followed by a LH A320 (I think). Since then there has been nothing much until a BA arrival just after 13:30. My BA flight to Heathrow, initially schduled for 12:55 is now showing depare 14:10. Just time to absorb another glass of BA plonk. What was this all about? |
Not clear the point you are making. Flightradar24.com is showing the usual amount of traffic over the UK, I am at Gatwick and crossed the concourse about 13.00 and all appeared normal.

I gather the problem is oop north, where the new elctronics have thrown a wobbly. All departures stopped for a while.
Any more info anyone? |
So Manch had a quiet spell!!??
 |
