Attention all US B-2 Visa holders!!

Hi all,

Could anyone out there enlighten me with regards to the B-2 holiday visa.

I believe it is valid for 10 years, however does this mean you can travel to the US as many times as you like in those 10 years?

Correct!

The B-1/ B-2 is a multiple entry tourist visa. Under the visa waiver scheme many 'favoured' countries no longer need this visa.
Im pretty sure the max stay is 3 months at any one time and no work is permitted.
10yrs is the normal period of validity.... it should be written on the visa itself.

note: until circa 1995 the B-1/B-2 was forever 'indefinite period' but my one got 'cancelled without predudice' when i got a new passport.

I think you will find that the B-2 has been discontinued some years back and if you present your passport at US Imigration it will be cancelled no matter what expiry was on it.
The only good Visa for the US is an "I" - diplomatic

A valid B2 with a fixed date shouldn't get cancelled, no matter how long it's been issued or even if it's in an old passport. My girlfriend is not a visa waiver national so has to have a visa, but the 10-year B2 in the passport two passports ago (if you see what I mean) still works for her.

It is true, though, that "indefinite" B2's are now being treated as having expired after 10 years. But I suspect that indefinite visas were probably mostly issued to visa waiver nationals anyway, virtually all of whom simply don't need one any more
