MYTravel DC-10.
Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone has had the pleasure of flying on one of MYTravels DC-10's. I'm flying MAN/Calgary on 1/2 and just wondered if anyone could tell me how much leg room to expect, or which are the best seats to request at check in. I'm 6"3 and don't want to get DVT
Thanks

Having had the pleasure of Dispatching many MYT DC10s over the summer I must say that considering they are in charter configuration they are surprisingly spacious. Unfortunately, there is not the option to upgrade to a Premiar Gold cabin unlike the A330's ( an absolute must when travelling long haul ) however the interesting seating layout in the front cabin means that pax seated on the aisle in the middle bank of seats basically get unlimited legroom. To elaborate, the front cabin slants inwards from door 2 and so in the 1st row there are say 2 seats in the middle, 2nd row 3 seats, 3rd row 4 seats etc etc etc. To be guaranteed decent legroom aim for either aisle seat ( don't know if it's C or D ) in the middle bank in rows 8 to 1. Alternatively go for the trusted emergency exit seats at the main passenger door ( aprox row 10 )...no toilets here but right next to the main galley. Hope this helps and have a nice vacation!
