Heated seat pad on BA

I would strongly suggest BA will not permit any form of heating device plugged into the seat power, my airline has such a restriction.
There is a fire risk, and also a risk of tripping the seat power system.
If you’re intending to take it with you, speak to BA in advance and they will probably seek advice from their dangerous goods department.

If this is something you rely on and will need on your long haul I suggest:
a) Ask your doctor for a letter
b) Consider asking BA if you can use a power adapter that is plugged into their universal power plug and gives you the USB power that you need. This will also depend on the aircraft/seat you are on that a power point is available. This avoids the main USB supply to the cabin. Also, if you have a 3-pin UK plug, it should have a fuse in it. Check that it is a 3amp and test at home.

They look like this and are usually on below the table, fixed to the leg of the row in front.

On most BA seats some form of seat pad is becoming a necessity - the seats are ROCK hard with no give at all. I think they got them from teh same supplier as the Elizabeth LIne
