Linate Connections

Hi,
Does anyone know the current state of connections from the UK in Linate airport?

We have a flight coming up which allows one hour and 25 minutes to catch our connecting flight, however, I have read that there’s no transit zone at Linate and we will be required to go through immigration and back through security again.

Before they hung up on me, ITA ‘customer services’ assured me that 30 minutes would be sufficient, does anybody have any recent experience connecting at Linate?

https://www.theflightclub.it/en/2025...ated-and-long/ refers. In it, ITA specifically say because there is no transit area, they don't have tight connections through LIN. So whoever told you 30 minutes would be fine was telling porkies.

You don't say when you're flying, but in winter LIN often has bad weather, specifically fog, and flights get delayed or diverted, so connections get missed. (If it's any consolation, MXP is even worse for fog.) Where are you in transit to? Have you considered alternative aeroports?

Barring delays, I wouldn't expect you to have any problem making a 1:25 connection on the same airline.

Thanks for the replies.
Were flying London City to Linate, then Linate to Palermo at the end of October.

I can’t get a refund so we’re just going to have to give it a go and see how we get on.
Presumably if we miss the connection due to delays etc the airline ‘should’ put us on the next flight?

It’s a bit annoying because we originally gave ourselves a couple of hours for the connection, and chose to take only hand luggage to speed up the process, and the airline rescheduled the flights.
