Virgin On The Ridiculous

Does anyone have a list of how much it costs to go where with Virgin frequent flier miles?

Their website is designed in an arse about face way so that you have to tell it how much you want to spend and where you want to travel from and to. It then tells you if you can do it.

I tried SVO to LLW and offered 1000 miles, but offer came there none. Try this for a website my mother could design better.

Have had a look on the website and must agree it could be easier.

You have to put the full city name in the boxes rather than airport codes and put the full mileage range in.

Here is what you will need for a return Upper Class trip.
London to:
East Coast USA 80,000 miles
West Coast USA 100,000 miles
Florida & Caribbean 100,000 miles
S. Africa & Delhi 100,000 miles
H. Kong & Shanghai 100,000 miles
Lagos 80,000 miles
Tokyo 150,000 miles

I hope this info is of use and it should be quite easy to obtain Economy and Premium mileage requirements from www.virgin.com/flyingclub.

I agree that it is not very helpful at first look.

Not sure of Econo prices but P.E. ones that I know of are:
JNB or CPT = 80,000 to buy. If you buy one with cash, you can buy a second on the same routing for half the amount.

NYC is 75,000 and the Companion offer also applies.
NYC Econo = 40,000 to buy.

HKG = 100,000 in PE.

However, I often found that VS MilesPlusMoney (as they advertise them) are good value. They have some on the go at the moment. Check out
I-Fly Virgin Atlantic
If you want short and medium haul, they offer flights through BD (British Midland or whatever they are calling it this week.)
