LGW North to South airside transfer?

Can you transit LGW north to south without going landside?

Perhaps only in a transfer bus provided by the airline with which you're travelling, otherwise it's landside on the driverless trains.

I think the South is closed ATM, so there won't be a transfer? I'm pretty certain there is/was an airport provided air-side bus but it only works if your luggage is checked through or you're on hand-luggage only. Also, you have to clear customs and immigration if you're transferring international to domestic

While that may have existed in the past, it's no longer mentioned on the LGW website.

Even the current GatwickConnects service, designed to avoid the need to re-check transfer baggage, still requires passengers to exit through customs to landside under their own steam and go through security as with any other departing passenger.
