Transatlantic loadings this summer .
It seems it's busy on the atlantic at the moment...
From all I see on the sheets, load factors are high.
I'm coming back JFK-LHR on BA on Thu. night....
any chance of an upgrade to BC ?

and enter your flight detalis.
If numbers to the right of Y read 0 then the flight is likely to be full.
However on British Airways it will help if you have status(have you got a Eecutive club card?)
If you are in WT then you are likely to be upgraded to WT+ only ( double upgrades are rare but they can occasionally happen).
If you are in WT+ then you may have a better chance of being upgraded to Club World.

yes thats what a travel agent sees and shows all the classes and all the different tickets in those classes on the flight.
However, point to note. The max number of seats available shown will always be 9 even if there are 100+. The system shows 9. Less than 9 then thats the number available in the fare/class.

H - Economy coach Discounted

Boring isn't it? It's also not a good thing. There does need to be fare structure simplification.

I'm going over to SFO on Virgin cattle class on the 8th, coming back on Friday 13th (which means being in the US over 911... should be an experience). According to the Flight Availability site, there are a number of classes with 7 seats free, and none higher -- does that mean there are more but it won't show them?
Also, I haven't flown economy on VS for ages, let alone the SFO DVT Special. How is it these days? I see a good few complaints online...

The 9 comes from the old codes for 'free sale' - the 7 means what it says - you can sell 7 seats not more - but it suggests in this case that they have just placed a restriction on the free sale and that what they really want if for travel agents to 'request' more than 7 seats in any class.
My guess would be that it is still fairly "wide open".

J=Long Haul Business (No Discount)
W=Premium Economy (Virgin, No Discount)

Did I read somewhere that United is pulling some of its flights that week because of lack of interest? It could go either way - nobody wants to fly, so it's nice and empty, or everyone decides to get a bargain at the last minute and everything's heaving.

On Virgin K stands for Discounted Premium Economy Class.
SLF: I personnally found Economy not too bad (as long as you can avoid row 48 I think (the row in front of door 4 as it seemed to have less room than the other rows.)
If you have spare money you could ask at the ticket sales desk on the day of the flight if it is possible to pay for an upgrade to Premium Economy (upper deck on the 747-400). I think the prices can be reasonable (subject to availability)

Maybe they're supposed to be.
But, looking back, we've booked a lot of people 'R' on a european airline which doesn't have supersonic aircraft.
I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't have thought there was a concorde codeshare to Madrid???
