Covid Checks at Airports?

Can anyone who has experienced airport checks, particularly at Heathrow, say what checks are being made for outbound passengers?

Are all passengers being screened? If being screened, when does screening take place?

Logically it should be before you enter the terminals.

I doubt if logic applies. Landing at Ubon from Bangkok last week random passengers were screened for temperature and we were all given a dollop of alcohol hand sanitizer. Two days later I was offered a mask at Bangkok, after security. Hand sanitizer was available at metro and skytrain stations. Nothing at Dubai or Paris. Various people started the flights wearing masks. They soon vanished when food service started.

At Frankfurt airport outbound „Schengen“ (intra EU) passengers are asked to voluntary report to airline gate staff (LH) if they have been to China within the last two weeks.

Entering at Johannesburg last Saturday, each pax got a forehead scan prior to Passport by someone wearing a face mask. But, this meant people had already mingled....
I would expect something similar when arriving home next week.

No checks at all at LHR, in or outbound.

Appalling. At least the first two are better. Really need checks before check in; avoids the hassle of intercepting baggage for those refused emmigration.

Years ago you were not allowed into Chennai terminal without a boarding card. In that case it was security but the principle is the same. Intercept and check as early as possible. As important, check staff every day.

Departing Bangkok for Singapore last week, passport checked at the boarding gate looking for China stamps within the last 14 days as this would prohibit entry into Singapore.

Why not do this at check in instead ???

As Singapore is thought to be a hot spot I can see why they check for Chinese, but as the UK super spreader came from Singapore a check for Chinese stamp would have failed.

You need both checks perhaps.
