Gatwick Connects

Daughter coming into Gatwick on Norweigan Dec 21 at 12.25. flying out to ACE from same terminal at 14.35. Bit tight, I know. Read about Gatwick Connects, a service that transfers ones baggage to the next flight for a few quid. also read about a service that speeds one through Passport Control, again for a few quid. Does anyone have any ideas or experience on any of these services and if they work as advertised.
times are tight but no alternative option was available at the time.

Hoping for tailwinds

Welcome to the cabin El Grifo. You should get an answer here in a few days. If not, consider checking the Gatwick forum in Airlines, Airports & Routes.

Ouch for the timings .... very tight. If my memory serves me correctly there is a Gatwick Connect service desk after border control, but wouldn't know if they do airside transfers directly. Sorry. However, having had a similar MCI at Stansted, and having missed my connection due to the late arrival of my first flight, do check if there's any 'help' from Norwegian and the airline taking her to ACE in case she's a misconnect .... such as rebooking her at no extra cost etc ... and of course having enough funds available in case she has to buy a new ticket or spend the night if she has to travel either later in the day or next day. Even if she's flying from the same terminal, gates can be a fair distance away if you're not an Olympic sprinter ... thinking of the 100-117 gates in North!

I think we can safely predict the answer to that.

Thanks guys ! Got a pm from someone earlier, but was prevented from reading it. My daughter has close connections and any helpful info would be welcome.
Could the sender of the pm possibly post here.

Gatwick Connects says they need her baggage 75 minutes before the next departure - that looks a bit tight on your timings

There're some sites that give historical arrival times for the flights. Maybe look at that to see if Norweigan have built in any extra time to ensure they are on time. That would mean an earlier arrival so extra transfer time.
Good luck, I believe we know each other, TimanfayAir , ex Lanza, now Philippines.

I've had tighter connexions than that at Amsterdam, which is fairly spread out. Gatwick is quite compact by comparison.
Although that was cabin bag only. If she needs to collect baggage then she needs a backup plan. Is there a later flight same day?

Last flight out sadly. All booked for her as a favour by her US employers Travel Department !
The Norweigan leg has a pretty good track record for being early, What will kill it is an on time or late arrival and baggage retrieval.
I guess her best shot is booking the fast track passport thing and hoping there is not a queue at the Gatwick Connect point.
Thanks for getting back to me Cymmon. Of course I remember you. Matagorda/ Pocillos area yeah ?
Shooting a villa there today in fact !!
I think a colleague of mine tried to help with the PM problem.
Thanks anyway !!
Grateful for all of the tips folks !
