TG473 BKK-BNE go-around at BNE???

In my usual position as SLF, TG473 777-200 ER from BKK at BNE on approach suddenly initiated go-around. Captain stated that it was due to runway debris. Any further info?

As a secondary issue, I was in 39D and when I sat down I found that there was a black metal fixture obstructing my access to under-seat storage under 38D. Not even any room for my feet. What is this fixture? Also, if an airline can charge extra for improved leg-room, why can't I get a discount for leg room that was compromised so badly for 8hrs?

Jetstar A320 had a heavy landing resulting in blown tyres.

The runway needed an inspection and sweep before being reopened.

Any aircraft that could, were sequenced onto runway 14.

The black metal box is an In Flight Entertainment module.
Yes, they can be very intrusive. About 30% of seats will have one.
Seat Guru identifies and warns which seats have them.

Thanks

Thanks for the explanation of the debris and the also the entertainment based very annoying foot obstruction on 777-200ER. I'll look up the reference next time. I still think it is crap that airlines can charge extra for space, yet hide information about such ghastly seat locations.

Thanks people
