Not transited, did go in and out as a domestic pax a few weeks ago, decent modern airport with good facilities.

Overnight Friday night last between Santiago and Fortaleza. Stayed at the airport Ibis. Not too bad. 24 hour bar, late night (circa 0130) dinner buffet still open, reasonable spread for breakfast. Room a little small but OK for 1-2 nights.

Back there on Thursday for two nights. Will report on the local eateries etc. There is a Steak restaurant across the road and an "American Bar" a 100 m or so away. . Given the neon sign on the bar I do not anticipate a visit.

sounds good....... I knew an American guy who used to collect neon bar signs - some he "liberated" others he bought off the bar man late at night....................

They were all AWFUL

The new terminal (T3) is very nice; the older ones (T1 and T2) are not. BA flies out of T3, but you will only have access with a boarding card, even arriving by air. So if your initial airline can't give you a BA boarding card, or you can't get one through on-line check-in, you may end up having to wait land-side in T3 until the BA check-in counter opens.

Probably a bit late but went through here on Saturday

Arrived T3, bussed in, clear signage to Transit.

There is a security check and they were rigorous on fluids... didnt see any duty free being confiscated but you should check..

Some people didnt seem to have onward boarding cards and were put on one side until they could be dealt with separately.

Past security signs for T2 or escallator up to T3

Allow 30 mins from start of security to gate in T3

Good luck!!
