USAir flight twenty years ago

This one is a long shot!

My partner's first flight was USAir 433 from PHL-TPA on 24 March 1997.

She's grown up to be a serious plane spotter and would like to know

a) The type of aircraft, and
b) The reg of the plane

Anyone know where I might be able to find this out? I did ask American but they say it's too far back for their records.

Thanks in advance.

Noxegon, I had a similar problem with a flight I took back in 1968. Airline had long since ceased operating, so I wrote to ATC at both departing and arriving airports and was very pleased to receive an answer a couple of weeks later. Certainly worth a try.

What database on the website did you query?

The second is that it appears only to show data for domestic flights, darn.

Amazing what you learn on PPRUNE.

But on further research, it seems that USAirways never used the registration N625AU, but changed it to N625VJ. Interesting that the DoT database continues to use AU for that frame.

This thread has helped me fill in many details from trips to the USA in the 1990s on NW/CO/DL, I thought I'd lost any chance of finding out reg's and types from that far back!

Thank you!
