Heathrow 'monopoly must end', says IAG boss
Call me cynical but this sounds like a smoke screen to me. Also, an alternative way of telling the story of how hard done by IAG is.

Maybe IAG would like to start the ball rolling by contributing another runway (or two) to Heathrow seeing as how they already have some reasonably new terminals there?

Given the problems that IAG (and specifically BA) have had in the past year or so perhaps they would be wise to concentrate on running an airline and not get into airport construction.

They should be focusing on what a hard Brexit will do them. They are no longer substantialy owned and effectively controlled by British nationals, a key requirement to exercise Brish airline’s traffic rights. And they are going to lose their anti-trust immunity with AA, as that is predisposed on having an open-skis agreemen UK-US.
