EMB 1135/145 Reliability
I fly to Hamburg / Bremen / Toulouse / Amsterdam regularly and yet again, had another delay yesterday on both outbound and return legs on EMB135 and 145.
Is there an underlying reliability issue with these A/C, or is it particular to the airline I use most ?

Yes and no. These aircraft are starting to age and it is an aircraft unfortunate fact of life that to keep an ageing fleet airborne you need lots of spares, reserve aircraft and plenty of engineers. If any of these are missing schedules are not met. But at least you are flying with a company who prefer not to fly rather than with one who flies with broken aircraft.

In Canada we had an outfit called Jetsgo that bought a bunch of old MD-80s a few years ago. Their reliability was horrendous and the company went out of business. Presently WestJet acquired a number of old 767s for international service and they have serious reliability problems. You can find more information on the Canada forum.

Or neither of the above, you've merely been unlucky.
