Looked like a door was open so why not just have him remove himself?
Unless the steps had been removed and door still open

He's bonded out of jail, he hasn't been sentenced to anything yet.

He does have conditions on his release though.

Attacks on aircraft

We can always condem passengers or airline staff for attacking aircraft occupants in the height of emotion. However black and white situations almost never occur. A airline captain can restrain a person on board where it is demonstrated they endanger the aircraft or its operation. However what happens when a member of the airline attacks a passenger ? An airline sells alcahol on board so passengers on board deliberatly get drunk (is this negligent)? Or some airlines do not refuse a drunk passenger from boarding. With todays heightened awareness on terrorists who is able to tell who is right or wrong ?

There are also many medications that people take. They may have ignored instructions to not take alcohol, or they may simpy have an unexpected reaction to the medication. Only blood tests can tell what is in a person's system.
