Oddly enough, AC are cheap if you go via AMS.

I was quoted £480 for rtn LHR-YYZ, but £230 AMS-LHR-YYZ, even though it's the same flight ex LHR - go figure.

I hail from up north, so with a KLMuk return to AMS for £60, still saved nearly 200 quid for the cost of a extra hour or two hanging around.

Unfortunately, since Canada 3000 went bust everyone else seems to have put up their prices (and of course Virgin axed their Toronto route).

This site used to have great last minute deals with C3000. They still have some good deals now - but nothing close to what you used to be able to get (I got YYZ-LGW rtn for £130 once!!!!).
