Medical insurance Gib

After viewing the tv series about Gibraltar, I was wondering if, as a UK citizen, do I need medical insurance? For example, I had a accident and broke a bone would my hospital treatment be NHS funded?

I have had treatment in Gib, all you need is a UK Passport and they will ask for your NI number. No issue really.

I greatly appreciate all of your replies. Passport, NI number sorted if needed. I bet the travel insurance companies won't tell me this
