Stranded in Venice

Thank you JSL for correcting this impression that has appeared in the media. I presume this was the last thing the cabin crew wanted as well.

101917 obviously has the 'inside track' on this one as he now claims the crew refused to operate outside the industrial agreement but inside 'CAP371' (sic- I think he/she is a bit out of date?). Puts a different face on it. Most unlike the LGW crew I knew.

If the Cabin Crew did not have enough hours to do the trip to LGW, surely they could all have flown across to say Milan, Pisa or Genoa where there would likely be hotels available and all overnight there, then the next day return to LGW?

I suspect the CC would have preferred to op back than stay the night at the airport, they should be commended.
My comments on Lowco, well, maybe the exception, my own experience is they often cancel and leave you in the lurch, maybe not so much Easy, another lowco perhaps?

Mr A -not so according to 'the source' which appears to be Galley FM at BA Gatwick. As I said, probably a LHR crew 'reaction' but not what I was used to from an LGW crew.
