I would follow the guidelines. Since they lost their roof last year the despatchers have been telling us it is pandomonium inside whenever we have flown in. Snaking queues out the front of the terminal, queue jumping, people missing flights etc.

Thanks everyone! I took your advice and left plenty of time and I'm glad I did. Couldn't believe how crowded it was. Not a particularly nice airport but check-in, security and retail staff all did a good job and were very pleasant. I'd avoid the place in peak season.
