TAP - Luggage allowance

I am absolutely flabbergasted.

I need to take a lot of stuff over to Brazil and am flying Heathrow/Lisbon/Natal and will definitely have over 25 kilos.
Anyhow, was told (by a few ditsy invidividuals) not to worry as my luggage allowance was 2 x 32 kilos. Any more than that would have to pay 120 quid at the airport for a 3rd suitcase.
I assumed that the rather ditsy individual had mistaken the maximum weight that the airline will carry in one suitcase as being your allowance times 2 cos you are allowed 2 suitcases and was sure that when I enquired would be told 20 or 25 kilos maximum allowance before having to pay excess baggage.

Not a bit of it - my full allowance is a massive 64 kilos before I have to pay any excess baggage at all.

I have had to apologise to numerous people who told me this and who I refused to believe.

Astonishing!!
