Ha! Probably get shifted by the mods to 'airports' but as SLF the guy tried to get his pax in to their destination then decided to clear off somewhere else where it wasn't so breezy!Seems fair enough to me! The LS that diverted into DSA tried TWICE ... but then us LS pax are made of stronger stuff ...!

I suppose you don't really expect that from a Kestrel. The tollerances on an Airbus are quite generous though from what i remember arent they? Fair credit to the flight deck though, giving the challenging conditions.
Anyone know what the METAR was at the time and what runway was in use?

That looks like 32 can't find the exact METAR for around 15.00 but this one is for a bit later when the winds had subsided a little!
METAR EGNM 121750Z 25030G46KT 9999 SCT035 BKN040 15/08 Q0996.

The trouble is you can't hear the screams with the flight deck door having to be locked.
I am sure I've done worse at Sumburgh, Jersey and Bermuda to name a few.
Shows we do earn our pay!!!
