Parking at Brussels zaventem airport.
Does anyone have any tips for regular weekend parking at Zaventem? The official car park prices seem a bit steep and I was wondering about private off-site parking of the type common at LHR. Or, are there any 'free' options like the Hoofdorp option at Schiphol that works well?

Yeah, if you park for several weeks!
The answer to cheap parking at BRU is that if parking for a few days there isn't any! The parking rates at Brussels Airport are a rip-off but they have a virtual monopoly. If you park elsewhere and use the airport train it won't save you anything either (i.e. if it's for a few days).

Depends how much risk you want to take. You can park on the service road which runs from the junction of Jules Bordetlaan and Leopold III. It is called Bougetlaan and runs in front of NATO HQ. From their, take the number 12 bus - Airport Express - takes 5 minutes max.
Buy your ticket in advance for €3 (or a 10 journey ticket for €21). If you buy it on the bus it will cost you €5, but still a total cost of only €10 for the weekend.
Plenty of people do it, and most of them find that their car is still there on Sunday evening!
